Erin Waggoner is runner-up in WSU competition

Erin Waggoner, who is in her fourth year studying aerospace engineering with a minor in mathematics, was recently named a runner-up in the 2009 Shocktoberfest Woman of the Year competition at Wichita State University.

Waggoner attended Olathe Northwest High School.

The Shocktoberfest Man and Woman of the Year are two students who encompass campus pride and are role models for future and current students in and out of the classroom. For finishing as runner-up, Waggoner will receive a $100 scholarship.

Waggoner has been a cooperative education student at the NASA-Dryden Flight Research Center in California.
