The second Shocker Sprints Indoor Rowing Race at Wichita State’s Heskett Center are set for Saturday, Feb. 13.

The event will feature erg racing, which takes place on rowing machines, also known as ergs. The Shocker Sprints will have events in the 2,000-meter distance, as well as a 500-meter event and a team 1,000-meter event.

The race is open to anyone who wants to participate. The second-by-second results will be electronically posted on a large screen for the audience to view.

The team event will have four rowers competing against a team of four other rowers. The computerized racing program allows for all four rowers’ efforts to be combined as one boat.

In the collegiate events, all of Wichita State’s rowers will be representing WSU.
