1-million-meal food packaging event for Haiti planned

Come help Wichita State University and NumanaInc feed the starving in Haiti.

The response from south-central Kansas to getting food to the people of Haiti since the earthquake has been astounding, with more than 2 million meals having been packaged and airlifted.

These meals are on the ground feeding people in Haiti.

Be a part of helping to increase that to 3 million meals.

WSU will stage a 1-million-meal food packaging event from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Feb. 5-6, and 1-8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, at Wichita State University's Eugene M. Hughes Metropolitan Complex.

If you'd like to help by volunteering to package food, donating to purchase meals or be part of coordinating the event by becoming a "Green Shirt," go to http://www.numanainc.com.
