WSU spring Entrepreneurship Forum Series starts with focus on franchising

Wichita State University’s Center for Entrepreneurship will hold its semi-annual Entrepreneurship Forum Series for Business Ownership, with the first event – “What About Franchising?” – set for 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, in 107 Devlin Hall.

Participants on the panel will be David Redfern, president of Value Place; Bill Simon, co-founder, president and CEO of Timberline Steakhouse & Grill and Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers; and Bill Walsh, president and COO of Daland Corp., a Pizza Hut and Sonic franchisee.

The second forum, “So You Want to Buy or Sell a Business?” will be from 3-4 p.m. Thursday, March 4, in 107 Devlin Hall. It will focus on how to transition buying and selling a business.

Panel participants include Steve Hayes, president and CEO of Hayes Holdings; Dave Nesbitt, president of Devlin Enterprises; and Bill Phillips, president and CEO of Vornado Air LLC.
