WSU hosting event focused on navigating new computer technology

The Wichita State University Elliott School of Communication and the Kansas Pro Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists are hosting “Site Stampede: 60 Sites in 60 Minutes” at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 4, in the Fred Sudermann Commons at WSU's Hughes Metropolitan Complex, 5915 E. 29th St. N.

The event will focus on finding tools to help navigate the vast technology landscape. There will be an interactive presentation by Jeff Cutler and Ron Sylvester, two pioneers in the use of social media and all things technology.

Cutler has operated his own writing services firm, Novel Ideas, for the past 18 years.

Sylvester is the legal affairs/interactive reporter for The Wichita Eagle.

The event is free and open to the public. Free coffee and other refreshments will be served.

In addition to the WSU event, Cutler and Sylvester will lead a new version of the presentation for the third straight year at the Society of Professional Journalists annual meeting in Las Vegas in October.
