The workshops will present general test-taking tips and practice questions for the English, reading, math and science test sections. Jan 4, 2012 — By WSU News Services — Maize South High School senior Denning Gerig has won Wichita State University's Ark Valley Chisholm Trail Scholarship. Maize High School senior Whitney Roelfs has been selected as the runner-up. The scholarships are awarded annually at WSU.

Dec 21, 2011 — By WSU News Services — David Berry, a senior at Trinity Academy in Wichita, is the winner of Wichita State University’s 2012-2013 Clay Barton Scholarship in Business. Berry will receive $11,000 a year for four years to attend WSU.

Darron Smith, an assistant professor in the College of Health Professions, has recently published "White Parents, Black Children: Experiencing Transracial Adoption." The book examines issues of race and whether white adopting parents can help their children cope with the reality of racial discrimination.

Smith has recently published the book "White Parents, Black Children: Experiencing Transracial Adoption," which Smith will sign from 5:30-6:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16, in the Regents Room of the Rhatigan Student Center. The event, with refreshments, is open to the public.
