The W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University will host its latest James P. Schwartz Speaker Series event on how to harness the transformational impact of analytics and artificial intelligence (AI). The event will occur on Thursday, September 28 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Woolsey Hall Auditorium. It will consist of a keynote panel discussion featuring industry experts in analytics and AI. The panel discussion is open to the public and offers a networking opportunity for attendees following the formal event.
“Analytics and artificial intelligence are transforming all functions of business organizations,” said Dr. Larisa Genin, Dean of the Barton School of Business. “This keynote panel is full of technology innovators and leading experts who are eager to share their knowledge and the challenges ahead. You don’t want to miss it.”
The panelists for the event are Rafiq Ajani, Chief Data and Analytics Officer at Koch Industries, Matt Hoag, Chief Technology Officer and Architecture Leader at Koch Industries, and Nikhil Krishnan, Group Vice President of Products at C3 AI. The discussion will be moderated by Richard Dinkel, executive vice president and Chief Financial Offer at Koch Industries who also serves on the Barton School of Business Dean’s Advisory Board.
“I know AI is a big buzzword right now thanks to ChatGPT and other AI technology,” said Dinkel. “But the most innovative companies have been leveraging AI and analytics for years. The tools that are being used, the edges that are being gained and the lives that are being transformed with this technology is still in its adolescence. But being an adopter is paramount.
