Tom Gentile, Inaugural Executive-in-Residence, Assumes Expanded Executive Advisor Role at Barton School

Barton School of Business is delighted to announce that Tom Gentile, the inaugural Executive-in-Residence back in 2021, will now serve as the Executive Advisor to the Dean. Mr. Gentile, a distinguished global leader with a background in top executive roles at Spirit AeroSystems, GE Capital, and other esteemed organizations, has also been an engaged member of the School's Dean's "Fabulous 50" Advisory Board for the past two years. His commitment extends to lending invaluable expertise and insight, significantly elevating the collaborative endeavors of the board.    Mr. Gentile earned his bachelor’s degree in economics magna cum laude and MBA from Harvard University and studied international relations at the London School of Economics.

Having been part of the dynamic Dean's 'Fabulous 50' Advisory Board for two years, I'm excited about infusing even more energy into providing strategic guidance and elevating the school's global profile,” said Tom Gentile.

In his role as Executive Advisor to the Dean, his primary focus will be on advancing the strategic direction, supporting the implementation of the School's transformative Bloom Plan, and leading initiatives to elevate its global presence and reputation. This encompasses providing valuable insights on key initiatives, fostering collaboration between academia and industry, hosting fireside chats with leading experts, participating in mentoring sessions with students, and contributing to the school's unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation.  His pro bono commitment in this role underscores a steadfast dedication to fostering academic excellence and innovation within the business community.
