WSU officer receives ribbon for going above and beyond

Shocker Nation is full of amazing people. One of those people is WSU Police Officer Efrain Rueda, who has received a University Police ribbon for two outstanding actions.

In spring 2019, he stayed for hours with a student during the night as she dealt with the trauma of her roommate's death. He stayed with her until her parents arrived from out of town to take over.

And more recently, upon finding a homeless woman on campus during a thunderstorm, Rueda paid for her to stay in a hotel for the night.
