At yesterday's (Thursday, July 12) weekly briefing, Sheree Utash, president of WSU Tech, discussed how the affiliation between Wichita State and WSU Tech became official July 1, and the exciting opportunities that presents the greater Wichita community and higher education.

Zach Gearhart, director of Government Relations, gave an update on retention efforts, discussed from STEM to STEAM and higher education trends.

Blackboard Ally to be turned on for primary Learn environment

On Tuesday, July 17, Blackboard Ally launches in WSU's primary Blackboard Learn environment. It will be launched for WSU Tech on Wednesday, Aug. 1. Ally is a new tool that assists instructors with the accessibility of their course material by providing evaluation and directions for improving the accessibility of course content accessibility, and providing a suite of alternative access options for students.
