Service-Learning Foundations and Next Steps

Friday, January 31 | 12-1:30 p.m. | Corbin Education Center 155
Presenter: Dr. Chelsea Redger-Marquardt, Assistant Teaching Professor/Director for Honors Service-Learning and Leadership Academy

Please join us for the first Lunch and Learn of 2020! During this session, we will discuss foundational concepts of service-learning, explore the NYLC Service-Learning Standards for Quality Practice, and look at a best practice example as a possible model for the College of Applied Studies.  If you are new to service-learning this session will give you a quick foundational overview.  If you have been practicing service-learning we want to hear from you and gain your thoughts and insights on the best practice model presented. Resources will be provided. We hope this conversation will be the first of many about strengthening connections and building new partnerships through meaningful curriculum with our community.
