The Board of Certification (BOC) is the certifying agency for the National Athletic
Trainers' Association (NATA). The mission of the BOC is to provide exceptional credentialing
programs for health care professional to assure protection of the public. The National
Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) is the national membership organization for
the profession of athletic training. The mission of the NATA is to enhance the quality
of health care provided by certified athletic trainers and to advance the athletic
training profession. ATS are eligible to sit for the BOC certification exam upon graduation
from a CAATE accredited program.
