SOE Faculty Leads NASA Workshop for Middle School Teachers

In collaboration with Dr. Gisuk Hwang from the College of Engineering, our School of Education faculty, Dr. Mara Alagic and Dr. JaeHwan Byun led the NASA Teacher Workshop successfully held at Corbin Connect—powered by Credit Union of America from 5/18 - 5/20. In total, 12 local STEM middle school teachers participated in the workshop to learn how to use technology tools for the Project-Based Learning method to teach Climate Change and Global Warming issues using various NASA. The teachers will implement what they learn from the workshop during the next school year, and the follow-up studies will go on.
