University of Arizona

How would you describe yourself?

I am a self-motivated, passionate, optimistic person with a thirst to improve myself.

What kind of sacrifices did you have to make to balance college life with personal life?

I had to work two jobs in addition to going to class while I was enrolled at Wichita State. It was a challenge, but it forced me to improve my time management skills to help balance my work and personal life.

What college subjects did you like best? Why?

I was a history major at Ripon College where I completed my undergraduate degree. I enjoyed early American history, especially the revolution era.

How did your experience at Wichita State help you find your first position after graduation?

Everything from the classroom experience to the real world experience as a graduate assist was vital to finding my first job post graduate school. The practical, in class discussions broadened my view of how athletic operations work. I was able to then actively apply those concepts directly into my work experience as a Graduate Assistant.
