Program Overview
The Erin and Kyle Cummings Student Managed Investment Fund (CSMIF) at the Barton School of Business at Wichita State University is a forward thinking student-led group where the world of finance and academia come together! Students are engaged in hands-on learning, investing real money in stocks, bonds, and more. Students analyze markets, select investments, and make real financial decisions-all while managing a fund valued at over $270,000.
Under the mentorship of industry veteran Paul Attwater and Jenn Lopez, our diverse team of students from various majors collaborates to grow the CSMIF portfolio. Their efforts not only enhance their own knowledge but also support initiatives for the Barton School.
CSMIF is open to all business majors interested in exploring real investment opportunities and building skills in analysis, leadership and collaboration that apply far beyond finance.
