Jill Wood was promoted to associate educator for her leadership and impact within the Teacher Apprentice Program. Since joining the university in 2019, Wood has served as program coordinator, overseeing the university’s largest undergraduate program, which supports more than 700 online students working as paraeducators in more than 200 Kansas school districts. She strengthened program infrastructure through leadership development and alignment with Kansas State Department of Education and Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation standards. Wood also helped pilot the state’s Registered Teacher Apprenticeship Program and contributes through teaching, mentoring and scholarship, including national publications and conference presentations.
Dr. Lindsay Luinstra was promoted to associate professor with tenure in the Department of Human Performance Studies. Since joining Wichita State in 2018, she has played a key role in launching the Master of Science in Athletic Training program, coordinating clinical education and supporting accreditation and curriculum development. Luinstra has built a strong record of scholarship through peer-reviewed publications and national and international presentations, earning Emerging Scholar Awards in both Sport & Society and Health, Wellness & Society. She also hosts the podcast Beyond the Game: Athletic Training and Education.
Dr. Jason Li was promoted to professor in recognition of sustained excellence in teaching, scholarship and service within the university’s counseling programs. Since joining Wichita State in 2014, Li has held multiple leadership roles, including program coordinator and liaison to the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs. His research focuses on career counseling, cross-cultural adaptation and emerging applications of artificial intelligence in counseling, alongside an active record of publications, presentations and professional service. Li also serves in leadership roles at the state and national levels, including president of the Kansas Counseling Association.
