Program Educational Objectives
Within a few years after graduation, our students will be able to:
- Pursue gainful careers and practice successfully in appropriate engineering professions;
- Remain technically current and adapt to rapidly changing technologies through continuous learning and self-improvement;
- Remain curious about our changing world, integrate information from multiple sources to gain insight and identify opportunities to create value.
- Demonstrate independent thinking and function effectively in diverse teams to solve open-ended problems in an industrial environment; and

- An ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematics.
- An ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factors.

- An ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contexts.
