Welcome to the College of Engineering! We are excited for you to join Shocker Nation and begin your journey toward a degree in engineering or computing! Our Welcome Week events are designed to help welcome you to the college, help you meet fellow students and college staff, and connect you with resources to help you have a successful transition to Wichita State.

Monday, August 21
Engineering Launch!
7:00pm - 8:30pm | RSC Beggs Ballroom
This is the official kick-off event for your first year in the College of Engineering! Being in a new place and being surrounded by a lot of new people can be daunting. This event is all about helping you begin building connections within the college and making Wichita State your home away from home. Engineering Launch! helps you meet other new students in a fun and informal environment through get-to-know-you activities led by Engineering Student Success Center staff.

Dessert with the Deans

Come meet Dr. Anthony Muscat, Dean of the College of Engineering, and the college's associate and assitant deans while enjoying free desserts and drinks! At Dessert with the Deans, you will also have the chance to meet the Engineering Student Success Center (ESSC) staff and tour the ESSC and GEEKS Tutoring Center.

Engineering Block Party & Student Organization Fair

The annual Block Party & Student Organization Fair is one of our biggest and most popular events. Come meet and learn about our College of Engineering student organizations and other departments on-campus! Enjoy free food, music, and yard games! Be sure to come pick up your free Clash of the College t-shirt to wear on Friday!

Clash of the Colleges Pep Rally
2:30pm - 4:00pm | Devlin Hall 107
Join fellow new College of Engineering majors for a pre-clash pep rally! Come wearing your green Clash of the Colleges t-shirt and any other green apparel you have as we get ready to take on the other WSU schools and colleges in the annual Clash of the Colleges! We will be inside for Pep Rally but Clash of the Colleges will all be outside. Please come prepared for the weather.
Clash of the Colleges
4:00pm - 5:30pm | Heskett Center & Hubbard Hall Lawn
The College of Engineering is a four-time Clash champion, and we need your help this year to bring home our fourth championship! Whether you sign up for a game or just cheer on your fellow engineers, we need all College of Engineering students to show up in force to take Cessna Stadium! It will be very hot and all activities take place outside so please come prepared! You will sign up at the Pep Rally for activities and we will walk you to either the Heskett center or Hubbard Hall Lawn. All procautions will be taken to keep all participants as cool as possible.
