2023 WISE Group Activity Judge

Thank you for your interest in volunteering to be a judge for the College of Engineering's Wallace Invitational for Scholarships in Engineering! WISE is a scholarship competition for high school seniors who are interested in studying engineering or computing at Wichita State. WISE annually draws about 200 students from over a dozen states. Through the WISE competition, the top 10 students will each be offered a $28,500 Wallace Scholarship. To learn more about WISE, visit www.wichita.edu/wise

WISE Group Activity Judging
Friday, November 17
9:00am - 11:30am
Rhatigan Student Center - Harvest Room 142

Each judge will be paired with another judge in a two-person judging team. Judging teams will be responsible for observing and scoring a small group of 4-5 students who will be participating in a group activity. Groups will be given a task to complete, and will have a specified amount of time to work together as a team to complete the task and pitch their idea to their judging team. Group members are judged on teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, not on their knowledge of engineering concepts, so judges do not need to have a background in engineering or computing.
