Resilient Communities Program

Wells Fargo and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation have partnered to provide Resilient Communities funding to help communities: prepare for future impacts of sea-level rise, sustain water quality and quantity, and enhance forest conservation.

About

The Resilient Communities Program funds highly impactful and visible, regional conservation projects and community capacity building that supports future adaptation to natural disasters, builds more resilient communities and demonstrates effective green infrastructure.

Special emphasis on projects that build capacity for traditionally low- and moderate-income communities.

This grant has two focus areas:

  1. Adaptation through Regional Conservation Projects
  2. Community Capacity Building and Demonstration Projects – help communities understand, organize and take action to address risks and opportunities through improved resilience brought about by enhanced natural features. Priority given to projects addressing multiple cities – GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WATERSHED-WIDE!

The program priorities for the Central Region (which includes Missouri) are:

  • Conserving critical land
  • Creating green infrastructure
  • Protecting water resources to address water quantity issues like floods and droughts
