WSU-HIREs (Humanities Internships Reward Employers)

Thanks to a generous grant from the Mellon Foundation, four philosophy students have helped launch the Philosophy in Practice track of the WSU-HIREs paid internship program. Philosophy in Practice internship placements for Spring 2026 include philosophy of medicine/bioethics, pre-law, and philosophy of STEM.

The program funds paid applied learning opportunities for Humanities majors in a variety of placements. Summer applications open soon!
