Curt Gridley was a great friend of this department. He died Saturday, March 16th, 2024, at the age of 65, far too soon.
One of his obituaries (https://www.cozine.com/obituaries/curtis-gridley) notes that, after Curt and his wife, Tracy Hoover, sold the successful business they started based on Curt's invention, they established the Gridley Family Foundation. Its first major gift was to the WSU Fairmount College of Liberal Arts, the Curtis D. Gridley Professorship in the History and Philosophy of Science.
We will miss him.
