Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art Education

A WSU art education degree prepares you to be a dynamic classroom leader. Our curriculum integrates Kansas state licensure for pre-kindergarten to 12th grade and equips students with leading instructional methods and motivational strategies. More than 90% of ADCI art education students are hired before or directly after graduation.

Students participate in community-based projects throughout the program, which culminates with student teaching. Our future teachers also specialize in one area of studio art or graphic design. From crayons to computer applications, learn how to energize today’s youth to become tomorrow’s creative thinkers.

Travel

Students faciliate cross-cultural art exchange in Peru

Three students and one recent graduate traveled to Peru this summer to work on a collaborative mural with elementary students in Lima. During the trip, they also traveled to Cusco and Machu Piccu.

My time at Wichita State gave me both classroom-management skills and a strong foundation in my studio area. I'll always be greatful to WSU for preparing me for my dream job, giving students the gift of art.
