  • RT – How did HLC come up with credit hour requirements?
  • GC – Does faculty preference to cut tier 2 cut against idea of allowing students to fulfill GenEd with all intro?
    • A: Give most flexibility for program to structure as they need.
  • MM – Have you studied other universities with a similar blanket GenEd structure?
    • K-State and KU seem to maintain a complicated categorization.
  • RT – Does the data suggest that the majority wants a larger number of GenEd credits?
    • RM – This is favoring a structure that support the minimum most indicated necessary.
  • SF – Is this leaving Math and Science students with a deficiency in broad GedEd requirements?
  • RT – Would 33 help split the difference between professional colleges and others?
    • Committee was considering the minimum common denominator.
  • SF – Many students will be able to complete GenEd with 8 courses. Is that acceptable?
