Aural Rehabilitation
Services on behalf of children who are hearing impaired include:
- Hearing aid fitting and orientation
- Development of auditory awareness
- Speech and language development
- Refinement of articulation and voice
- Development of home speech and language stimulation programs
- Encouragement of family support on behalf of the hearing impaired child
Services on behalf of adults who are hearing impaired include:
- Hearing aid fitting and orientation
- Sessions to discuss difficult listening situations and development of strategies for
dealing successfully with them, such as,
- Telephone communication
- Listening in church
- Listening in family gatherings
- Enhancing communication at home
