Donuts, Coffee, and Kudos to Honors Graduates Students graduating with an honors disctintion are invited to celebrate their recognition along with their families RSC 142 Harvest Room 9:30am - 11:30am May 12 10am Student Recognition Scan to RSVP

Graduates! Come celebrate your accomplishments at this end of the year event.

Dr. Michael Tilford served Wichita State in various capacities including Graduate School dean in 1988 and Associate VP for Academic Affairs in 1994. More importantly, he was a champion for diversity in education throughout the state of Kansas. Student Job Title: Honors Office Assistant

The Cohen Honors College is seeking an Office Assistant who will staff the main reception desk and provide general office support. Office assistants are official greeters who assist students, staff and faculty to use the resources of the Cohen Honors College and the Dean’s office. They assist with event planning, recruitment, and scheduling advising appointments as needed. The assistant must have strong oral and written communication skills and exercise discretionary judgement regarding student information and executive-level communication.

The Honors College at the University of Arkansas invites you to the 8th Annual National Society for Minorities in Honors Conference, which will take place on the University of Arkansas campus between October 25-27, 2023

Why Honors?

The value of an honors education for students from underrepresented backgrounds

We are accepting proposals that address how we demystify the honors experience for students and how we can communicate or reassess the value of an honors education for students from diverse backgrounds and interests. We also welcome proposals of general interest to the NSFMIH community. Honors administrators, educators and students are invited to submit proposals.

Lead for Tomorrow - Reunion Breakfast

This past week, past Leadership Academy students joined the current cohort class to share about their experience, development of thought, and to help students prepare for the Place as Text travel seminar heading to Portland, Maine in May 2023. The Lead for Tomorrow Cohen Honors Leadership Academy is part of the original Cohen gift and strives to be a curricular program that engages students in contemporary research and scholarship based on an annual theme, question, or issue. This year’s theme “Connected Leadership: Building a Community of Leaders” explores the connections of people, systems, and processes that leadership in action navigate. Students are paired with community partners and engaged in interdisciplinary problem solving leveraging Design Thinking approaches is providing recommendations for real challenges provided by our partners.
