Why Honors?
The value of an honors education for students from underrepresented backgrounds
We are accepting proposals that address how we demystify the honors experience for students and how we can communicate or reassess the value of an honors education for students from diverse backgrounds and interests. We also welcome proposals of general interest to the NSFMIH community. Honors administrators, educators and students are invited to submit proposals.
Learn more about the 2023 NSFMIH Conference here.
Proposal submission form can be found here. The deadline for submissions is April 28, 2023.

Lead for Tomorrow - Reunion Breakfast
This past week, past Leadership Academy students joined the current cohort class to share about their experience, development of thought, and to help students prepare for the Place as Text travel seminar heading to Portland, Maine in May 2023. The Lead for Tomorrow Cohen Honors Leadership Academy is part of the original Cohen gift and strives to be a curricular program that engages students in contemporary research and scholarship based on an annual theme, question, or issue. This year’s theme “Connected Leadership: Building a Community of Leaders” explores the connections of people, systems, and processes that leadership in action navigate. Students are paired with community partners and engaged in interdisciplinary problem solving leveraging Design Thinking approaches is providing recommendations for real challenges provided by our partners.
