Honors Hour: Fulbright U.S. Student Program

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study and teaching opportunities in over 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. During their grants, Fulbrighters will meet, work, live with, and learn from the people of the host country. The program facilitates cultural exchange through direct interaction on an individual basis in the classroom, field, home, and in routine tasks, allowing the grantee to gain an appreciation of others’ viewpoints and beliefs, the way they do things, and the way they think.

ALL students (NOT just Honors students) are invited to Honors Hour: Fulbright U.S. Student Program on Wednesday, March 24, from 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Fulbright Staff and Alumni Ambassadors will present general information about the Fulbright U.S. Program’s history, eligibility, award types, award benefits, and application components and tips. After the general presentation, students will be sorted into breakout rooms to hear about institution-specific details, such as campus resources, deadlines, and next steps.

Click here to register for the information session. Note: The registration will say 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. Eastern time, which is 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. Central time.

Apply for the Stronger Scholarship

Young people are actively changing the world. They bring new ideas, strategies, and perspectives to issues our communities have been struggling to overcome for decades. Young people are taking to the streets, mobilizing, and speaking out against racial injustices, health inequities, and environmental racism—all with heart, hope, and vision.

In recognition of the important role young changemakers play in creating healthy, safe, vibrant, and equitable communities, Prevention Institute has partnered with Healthline to offer this year’s Stronger Scholarship. The scholarship will award three $7,000 scholarships to students working to improve community conditions and reduce health inequities in their communities.

Click here for more information and to apply. The deadline is Tuesday, April 20.
