STEM Student Volunteers Needed for Middle School Girls’ Science Workshops November 3rd
WSU will be hosting the 6th annual Expanding Your Horizons event on Saturday, November 3rd. Several volunteers (preferably STEM majors) are needed for the whole day (8 am to 2 pm). You will be responsible for helping to “sort” and “escort” the 200 middle school girls to/from workshops on campus. You will assist with a hands-on STEM workshop (no experience needed) and share your excitement for science with these young ladies. All volunteers receive a T-shirt and free lunch at Shocker Hall!
Spook the Halls
Warning! This Halloween, the CDS team is going to ”Spook the Halls” on Thursday October 25. We will have little friends from the Wichita Community coming to have a guided trick-or-treating event through the residence halls.
