Honors Community News
Honors Student Feature: Ngoc Vuong
Honors student Ngoc Vuong founded his second non-profit organization Healing Kansas to foster dialogue about mental illness in Wichita.
Healing Kansas uses creativity to draw attention to community issues with substance abuse and mental illness.
Vuong is working with media arts major Masara Al-Sharieh to create a short film centering on the substance abuse of a parent.
Vuong hopes Healing Kansas will eventually create more films and documentaries as well as create a scholarship to help upcoming creatives who are interested in mental health activism.
