Two Weeks Left to Apply for the Student Fee Scholarship
The Honors Student Council has instituted a scholarship fund to alleviate any financial burden placed on students by the Honors Student Fee. The application contains a 250 word essay. Applications are evaluated by the Honors Student Council. If selected, this scholarship will cover half of the applicant's $50 Honors Student Fee for the Fall 2021 semester. Preference will be given to applicants who do not receive the Honors Merit Scholarship. Applicants will need to reapply every semester.

Participate in the 1st Annual Chemistry & Biochemistry Undergraduate Research Showcase
The 1st Annual Chemistry and Biochemistry Undergraduate Research Showcase will take place on Wednesday, November 10, from 12 - 6 p.m. It is a wonderful opportunity for undergraduate student researchers at WSU to showcase their research. Whether they are just beginning research towards a specific scientific goal or a more advanced student, any undergraduate student participating in research from the Departments of Chemistry and Biochemistry, Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related programs is able to apply. Undergraduate students wishing to participate must submit an abstract by October 15 at 5 p.m. Click here for more information and to submit an abstract.

Volunteer Opportunity at The Lord’s Diner
Join the Community Service Board and serve free meals at The Lord’s Diner. Volunteers are needed 5 - 8 p.m. on the following Wednesdays: September 8, September 22, October 13, October 27, and November 10. Click here for more details and to sign up.
Group Therapy Offered This Semester
To find out if group therapy can benefit you, reach out to Wichita State’s Counseling and Prevention Services at 316-978-4792 to set up a consultation. Any student is welcome to attend the group therapy sessions above via Zoom.
Department of Defense SMART Scholarship Now Open
Have you heard of the Department of Defense's Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarship-for-Service Program? SMART is a combined educational and workforce development opportunity for STEM students. SMART scholars receive full tuition and annual stipends, conduct internships, and are guaranteed full-time employment with the Department of Defense after graduation.
