Admission to the program

To be admitted to the School of Music, you must first be admitted to Wichita State. Once you're admitted to WSU, you'll need to schedule an audition through the School of Music.

Curriculum

To complete the degree, you'll study aural skills, music technology, music business and marketing, media and promotional content, arts leadership, and performance identity and branding. You'll round out your education with applied lessons, ensemble participation and class piano.

Careers

Graduates are highly trained performers equipped to build and sustain a modern music career. Possible pathways include performing / recording artist, session or freelance musician, touring musician, artist-entrepreneur, and roles in live, studio, and digital spaces.
