- Figures are estimates given by Host University. Figures were given in host currency and converted to United States Dollars using a floating exchange rate. As of 08/07/2024, 1 Euro (EUR) =1.09 (USD)
- Berlin School of Economics and Law charges a Semester Contribution fee of 287.50 Euros, which includes a local public transport pass for unlimited use in Berlin of bus and metro. A $109 bank transfer fee was added.
- Accommodations given by the university start at 395 Euros per month for student dorms in the city.
- Meals were estimated by the university at 120-250 Euro/month for eating three meals a day.
- The university provided an estimate of no more than 50 euros for the cost of books during the semester.
- The GeoBlue Student Insurance Plan is required for international travel. The total cost is based on the total number of days the student is abroad. As of July 2024, it cost $1.46 per day for a maximum $100,000 coverage and $100 deductible. 150 days (5 months) will be approximately $219.00. There are different coverage plans available at different prices.
- It is required to get German Health Insurance for students while in Germany. This cost is approximately 120 Euros per month.
- Residence permit and alien registration are required for all non EU nationals staying in Germany longer than 90 days. Visas are obtained in Germany for about 75 Euros.
- Airfare cost was provided according to Orbitz as of July 2024 with travel dates of January 6, 2025 – June 2, 2025. This should provide a good estimate to cover the airfare expense.
- Personal expense estimates are provided by Financial Aid for students living on the WSU campus, which will be similar during a study abroad program.
* Tuition and Fees are based on the Resident rate for 12 undergraduate credit hours at Wichita State University. Students will pay their current tuition rate during the study abroad program based on their residency and any specific college/department requirements.
