- Figures are estimates given by Host University. Figures were given in host currency and converted to United States Dollars a floating exchange rate. As of 07/30/2026, 1 Euro (EUR) = 1.15 (USD)
- Accommodation is estimated at 321.60 euros per month. A mandatory student union fee of 26 euros per semester was added to cost.
- Meals are estimated at 300 euros per month.
- Local Transportation is estimated at 52.40 euros per month.
- No exact estimate was provided by the partner university, however the university budgets 700 euros a semester for accommodation, food, transportation, and books. Therefore no estimate was added due to books, as the 700 euros estimate was divided between other expenses.
- The BlueCross BlueShield Global Solutions health insurance plan is required for study abroad. The total cost is based on the total number of days the student is abroad. As of August 2026, it cost $1.86 per day for a maximum $100,000 coverage and $100 deductible. 150 days (5 months) will be approximately $279.00. There are different coverage plans available at different prices.
- All students going to Austria for one semester need to obtain the Austrian National Visa D. This is a fee of 223 euros. Students MUST go to a visa center out-of-state to obtain their visa.
- Airfare cost was provided according to Orbitz as of 8/3/2026 with travel dates of January 16, 2027 – June 11, 2027. This should provide a good estimate to cover the airfare expense.
- Personal expense estimates are provided by Financial Aid for students living on the WSU campus, which will be similar during a study abroad program.
* Tuition and Fees are based on the Resident rate during Fall 2026 for 12 undergraduate credit hours at Wichita State University. Students will pay their current tuition rate during the study abroad program based on their residency and any specific college/department requirements.
