Wichita teacher shares her journey through Teacher Apprentice Program

In first grade, Susan Crum knew she wanted to be a teacher. Life events got in the way and she eventually worked her way into being a para educator. But things changed last year when Susan found out about the Teacher Apprentice Program, developed by WSU's College of Applied Studies.

The chance to earn her bachelor's degree while still working made all the different to Susan, who plans to graduate in May 2019 as a teacher of record.

"I can't even begin to describe the feeling of every morning when I wake up knowing that I'm coming to do what I've always dreamed to do."
