Effective for the spring 2026 term, we will no longer approve on-campus CPT for a student already employed by WSU for 20 hours per week in a regular student position or graduate assistantship position during fall and spring terms.
This includes any combination of regular on-campus student employment, graduate assistantships, and on-campus Curricular Practical Training. The total combined work hours for both types of employment may not exceed 20 hours per week during the fall and spring term.
It is important to note on-campus employment does not refer to the location or site address of the CPT experience but rather who the CPT experience is paid by or organized through. There will be no exceptions granted to this new policy. Any student who violates the policy will have their SEVIS record terminated.
