Survey B for Fall 2020

Survey B should only be completed by students who:

  • Intend to leave the U.S. (or remain outside the U.S.) AND
  • Take a couple of online classes at WSU for Fall 2020.

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION ***

  • Your SEVIS record will be terminated for Authorized Early Withdrawal. This is a positive SEVIS termination reason and should not negatively affect your ability to return to the U.S. in the future.
  • Be sure to select classes that have no in-person component. Some hybrid courses may be fully remote, so be sure to look up each course in which you enroll at https://wichita.edu/Fall2020 to see physical presence is required. If your course is not listed, please contact the instructor.
  • There is no minimum enrollment requirement since you will no longer be in F-1 status after we terminate your SEVIS record.  You may add and drop classes without concern for your immigration record.
  • You must send an email to WSU3rdParty@wichita.edu indicating you are outside the United States and need to waive your medical insurance. You will be sent an electronic form to complete and information on where to send documentation. Keep in mind that the deadline for insurance waivers is August 31, 2020.
  • If you change your mind and decide not to enroll for Fall 2020, your academic standing and eligibility to enroll for future semesters at WSU will not be affected by this gap in enrollment.
  • To return to the U.S. for a future term, you may be required to submit a new Certification of Financial Support and pay the I-901 SEVIS fee for you new record. Your practical training eligibility may reset, meaning you will need to enroll full-time while in the U.S. for one full academic year (one fall and one spring semester) before you would be eligible for CPT or OPT.
