Survey D for Fall 2020

Survey D should only be completed by students who:

  • Intend to study from within the U.S. AND
  • Enroll full-time at WSU for Fall 2020.

** IMPORTANT INFORMATION **

  • The original SEVP guidance for Fall 2020 which required that students enroll in at least one course with an in-person component was rescinded on July 14, 2020. This means that there is no limit to the number of online/distance learning courses in which a student may enroll for Fall 2020.
  • Since the Fall 2020 guidance was rescinded, we will not be issuing new I-20s to all students indicating that students are enrolled in hybrid courses. This is no longer necessary.
  • If you later determine that you will not return to (or remain in) the U.S. for Fall 2020, please submit a new survey to indicate your change of plans.

** STUDENTS OUTSIDE OF WICHITA **

  • You must return to Wichita by Aug 20. Kansas requires international travelers to be quarantined for 14 days. For details, visit https://www.coronavirus.kdheks.gov/175/Travel-Exposure-Related-Isolation-Quaran. You may not physically attend classes during quarantine. If you will miss any in-person classes while you are outside of the U.S. or during quarantine, you should 1) contact your professors to let them know the date that you plan to begin attending in-person classes, and 2) seek permission to begin attending late. Your professors might allow you to attend remotely/online until you can begin attending in-person. If your professors will not allow you to arrive late, you will need to select different classes with professors who have approved your late arrival.
  • Due to COVID-19, travelers who have visited certain countries during the preceding 14 days are temporarily barred from entry to the U.S.  See https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/from-other-countries.html.  Update from 7/17/2020:  While the travel ban is still in effect for most people, students on F-1 visas may now travel from the UK, Ireland, and the Schengen area of Europe without having to get a national interest exception to travel to the U.S.
