Will your passport expire within the next six months?*
If yes, we recommend you begin the passport renewal process by contacting your embassy. Please be aware that processing times can take up to six months. Please bring your new passport to the Garvey International Center after it is renewed.
F-1 students only: Will your I-20 expire within the next six months?
If yes and you will not be completing your program of study by this date, you must request an I-20 extension in advance. The extension form is available online. Please submit the completed form to the OIE at least two weeks before your current I-20 expiration.
F-1 students only: I understand that if I will be engaging in in any internship, practicum, cooperative education, or other type of applied learning experience, it is my responsibility to contact the Office of International Education to determine if Curricular Practical Training (CPT) authorization will be needed. Failure to obtain the proper authorization may result in SEVIS termination.*

IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • Incomplete forms will need to be resubmitted and will delay the release of your hold which will prevent you from registering for classes.
  • Please check your student account for holds from other departments which may cause additional delays.
  • If the form is properly completed, your SEVIS hold will be released without a notification e-mail from our office.
 
 

Before your SEVIS check-in can be processed, you must submit copies of your most recent I-20, I-94 arrival information (front and back copies of card or printed from https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html), visa, and passport ID page to International Education by fax, mail, in-person, or email.
