 If yes, we recommend you begin the passport renewal process by contacting your embassy.   Please be aware that processing times can take up to six months.  Please bring your new passport to the Garvey International Center after it is renewed.

            If yes and you will not be completing your program of study by this date, you must request I-20 extension in advance. The extension form is available online.
          Please submit the completed form to the OIE at least two weeks before your current I-20 expiration.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  • Check-ins submitted by 8:00am Monday through Friday will be cleared on the same business day unless any information is left blank.
  • Check-ins submitted after 8:00am or on the weekend will be cleared the next business day unless any information is left blank.
  • Incomplete forms will need to be resubmitted and will delay the release of your hold which will prevent you from registering for classes.
  • Please check your student account for holds from other departments which may cause additional delays.
  • If the form is properly completed, your SEVIS hold will be released without a notification e-mail from our office.
