Test Overview
The Online Placement Test is one of the tests you can take to determine your level placement in Intensive English
Online. Please read the following for more information about this placement test.
This test must be taken by the deadline.
Requirements
You must have admission to IE Online in order to take the Placement Test. After you receive admission, we will send you details on how to take the Placement Test. System Requirements: Internet connection, headphones/earbuds, up-to-date web browser that includes Adobe Flash Player plugin (standard with Mozilla and Chrome)
Format
Timed Test - 60 minutes with 80 multiple choice questions
IMPORTANT: Once you start the test, it cannot be stopped.
Content section:
- Listening - 25 multiple choice questions (you cannot replay any portion of this section)
- Grammar - 20 questions with four answer choices
- Vocabulary - 20 questions with four answer choices
- Reading - 15 questions with four answer choices
Scoring
Scores are automatically calculated and available immediately after completion of the test.
