Transcript Requirements

Note: All transcripts from U.S. or Canadian schools must be mailed directly to Wichita State University from the school or through one of the following electronic transcript services; Parchment, National Clearinghouse, or Digitary.

The information listed below applies to transcripts from all countries.

To be Official: Transcripts must be an original or photocopy with an original stamp and/or signature of a school official, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, other government authority or Education USA. Transcripts may NOT be stamped "Issued to student."

Translations: Original transcripts not in English must be accompanied by an official translation in the same format with an original stamp and/or signature of a qualified translator. Translations by students are not accepted.

Failure to List All Schools: If you do not list all schools on your application, you will be expelled, denied admission, or refused transfer credit.

Falsified Documents: You will be denied admission or expelled if you send falsified transcripts, bank statements, or any other documents.

Transcript Retention Policy: All transcripts will be destroyed after they are scanned into our computer system.

Electronically Submit Your Application Materials: Follow the step-by-step instructions on the How to Apply webpage. You are required to submit final, official educational records after admission. You may present the final document(s) after arrival in Wichita, but the check-in process will be faster if official copies are sent prior to arrival. It is especially important for students with transfer credit to submit official copies of educational records as soon as possible to facilitate the transfer credit process. Without official copies of your educational records you can enroll for one semester only.

 

General Transcript Requirements

Transcripts Required:

  • Front and Back of all transcripts.
  • All secondary schools (high schools) attended.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.

Bahamas

Transcripts or Marksheets Required:

  • Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGCSE) final certificate(s) issued by the Ministry of Education (if taken)
  • High School Transcript(s) showing graduation (if completed high school)
  • Bahamas High School Diploma (BHSD) Transcript showing graduation (if graduated). If transcript does not state "Bahamas High School Diploma" program, submit your diploma, or a letter issued by the school stating you are in a BHSD program.
  • If high school transcript has semester(s) with no grades listed, a letter of explanation issued by the school is required.
  • Transcript(s) from all college of universities attended or are now attending - even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Grading scale: From back of transcript or issued by the school
  • Front and Back of all Transcripts

To be Official: Transcripts must be an original or photocopy with an original stamp and/or signature of a school official, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, other government authority or Education USA. Transcripts may NOT be stamped "Issued to student".  Attestations by notary publics are NOT accepted.  For schools that use electronic transcript services, such as Parchment, National Clearinghouse or Digitary, you may also have your official transcripts sent directly to us by choosing Wichita State University – International as the recipient.

Bangladesh

Transcripts or Marksheets Required:

  • Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC).
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.

To be Official: Transcripts must be an original or photocopy with an original stamp and/or signature of a school official, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, other government authority or Education USA. Transcripts may NOT be stamped "Issued to student." Attestations by notary publics are NOT accepted.

Enrollment Deposit Requirement

  • WSU assesses a $7,000 deposit on those applicants: (1) who are physically located in Bangladesh at the time they submit their application; and/or (2) who provide transcripts from schools or documents from banks located in Bangladesh.

  • If accepted, the $7,000 enrollment deposit must be paid before an I-20 is issued. To improve your chances of getting a visa, your I-20 will show that you paid the enrollment deposit.

Brazil

Transcripts Required:

  • All secondary schools (high schools) attended.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.

  • Official grading scale for each school attended.

Cameroon

Transcripts Required:

  • O-level certificate and, if applicable, A-level certificate(s) OR official copy of baccalaureate (in English) attested by the school.

  • Front and Back of all transcripts.

China

Transcripts Required:

  • Final Senior Middle School results (Years 1 to 3) in both English and Chinese (issued by the school).
  • Senior Secondary Graduation Certificate in both English and Chinese.
  • Transcripts (in both English and Chinese) from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.

Exemptions or Transfer Credit: Transfer credit is available for many post-secondary schools in China. The following is a list of programs we have previously evaluated. If your school or program is not listed, we would be happy to conduct a transfer credit review after you receive admission.


Enrollment Deposit Requirement for Applicants in Fujian Province:

  • WSU assesses a $7,000 deposit on those applicants: (1) who are physically located in Fujian Province in China at the time they submit their application; and/or (2) who provide transcripts from schools or documents from banks located in Fujian Province.

  • If accepted, the $7,000 enrollment deposit must be paid before an I-20 is issued. To improve your chances of getting a visa, your I-20 will show that you paid the enrollment deposit.

Democratic Republic of Congo

Transcript Requirement

  • Photocopy of Examen D'Etat and a transcript of the results in both English and French or a copy of the Releve De Notes issued by the Ministry of Education.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.

To be Official: Transcripts must be an original or photocopy with an original stamp and/or signature of a school official, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, other government authority or Education USA. Transcripts may NOT be stamped "Issued to student."

Translations: Original transcripts not in English must be accompanied by an official translation in the same format with an original stamp and/or signature of a qualified translator. Translations by students are not accepted.

You are required to submit final, official educational records after admission.   • Official copy of University Entrance Exam (or equivalent exam for prior years).
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.

To be Official: Transcripts must be an original or photocopy with an original stamp and/or signature of a school official, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, other government authority or Education USA. Transcripts may NOT be stamped "Issued to student."

Gambia

Transcripts Required:

  • Photocopy of WASSCE results and an original or photocopy (front and back) of your scratch card. OR. IGCSE results attested by the school.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.

Ghana

Transcript Requirement

Hong Kong

Transcripts Required:

  • Results from the HKDSE, HKCEE, GCSE, IGCSE, HKALE (if applicable), or the International Baccalaureate.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.

Exemptions or Transfer Credit: Exemptions are available for many post-secondary schools in Hong Kong. The following is a list of programs we have previously evaluated. If your school or program is not listed, we would be happy to conduct a transfer credit review after you are accepted for admission.

India

Transcripts Required:

  • Class 12 or Standard XII Board Examination Results as issued by the Examination Board:

  • Surat Tanda Tamat Belajar (STTB).

Jordan

Transcripts are Required From:

  • An original Tawjihi (in English) as issued by the Ministry of Education.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.

Kenya

Transcripts Required:

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.

To Be Official: KCSE results must be an original copy of the results as issued by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC). Transcripts must be an original or photocopy with an original stamp and/or signature of a school official, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, other government authority or Education USA. Kuwait

Transcripts are Required From:

  • Official copy of Tawjihi results (General Secondary Examination results) in English.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.
Lebanon

Transcripts Required:

  • Official copy of baccalaureate examination results.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.

Malaysia

Transcripts Required:

  • Results from the SPM, UEC, GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, or the International Baccalaureate.
  • STPM results (if applicable).
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.

Transfer Students from American Degree Programs

  • Not required to submit SPM results if you have studied 24 or more credit hours.
  • No minimum number of credit hours are required to transfer.
  • Must have a grade of C- or higher to obtain credit for the class.
  • To obtain English Composition credit, you must pass the English Validation Exam (EVE, formerly known as English Exit Exam) after arrival at WSU. The TOEFL is not a substitute for the EVE.
Nepal

Transcripts Required:

  • Academic Transcript (School Leaving Certificate Examination - Grade XII), 10+2 results, Proficiency Certificate, or O/A-level results.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.
Nigeria

Transcript Requirement

  • Photocopy of SSCE results (WAEC or NECO)

  • Original or photocopy (front and back) of your scratch card

  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.

  • Front and Back of all transcripts.

  • You are required to submit final, official educational records after admission.   • Higher Secondary Certificate or Intermediate Certificate examination results as issued by the Examination Board showing marks received in each subject studied.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.
Saudi Arabia

Transcripts are Required From:

  • All Secondary schools (high schools) attended.
  • General Secondary School Transcript (or equivalent).
  • Only the Scientific or Literary Streams are accepted.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.

To be Official: Transcripts must be an original or photocopy with an original stamp and/or signature of a school official, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Education, other government authority or Education USA. Transcripts may NOT be stamped "Issued to student."

Exemptions or Transfer Credit: Exemptions are available for many post-secondary schools in Singapore. The following is a list of programs we have previously evaluated. If your school or program is not listed, we would be happy to conduct a transfer credit review after you are accepted for admission.

Sri Lanka

Transcripts Required:

  • O' and A' level Certificates issued by the Department of Examinations may be attested by your school. However, your school cannot report your results in their own format.
  • Transcripts from all colleges or universities you have attended or are now attending – even if you do not want transfer credit.
  • Front and Back of all transcripts.

Exemptions or Transfer Credit: Exemptions are available for many post-secondary schools in Sri Lanka. The following is a list of programs we have previously evaluated. If your school or program is not listed, we would be happy to conduct a transfer credit review after you are accepted for admission.

Tanzania

Transcripts Required:

  • O-level certificate and, if applicable, A-level certificate(s)

Uganda

United Kingdom

Zimbabwe

Transcripts Required:
