When it comes to producing teachers, athletic trainers, exercise scientists and sport management professionals — nobody offers more resources for success than Wichita State's College of Applied Studies. By combining nationally accredited programs and state-of-the-art facilities with opportunities to gain real-world experience with organizations around the globe — our students have everything they need to build bright futures.
Real-world experience
One of the many advantages of a Wichita State education is the ability to get hands-on work experience while going to school.
Wichita State applied studies majors have success securing high-profile and prestigious internships, gaining work experience from the likes of Wichita Public Schools, Major League Baseball, Arena Football's Jacksonville Sharks, Walt Disney World and more. The Shocker Career Accelerator serves as an additional resource to help students with resume building, interview preparation, internships and post-graduation placements.
Funding success
The College of Applied Studies awards up to half a million dollars in scholarships each year, including the Klose Scholarship for students majoring in math or science education. The College of Applied Studies scholarship application is available at wichita.edu/casscholarships.
Wichita State also offers a variety of general scholarships — including freshmen merit scholarships worth up to $24,000 — and other forms of financial aid. For general scholarship information, visit wichita.edu/financialaid.
