To help military members, veterans and their dependents in taking advantage of their educational benefits, we offer information on education benefit programs, the application process and the certification process for using the benefits. Army ROTC

Students can develop skills to be an effective leader, understand the team concept & develop a sense of dedication, duty & discipline. The program provides a wide range of scholarships that allow you to join the National Guard or Army Reserves, or to commission into active duty.

WSU at McConnell Campus

Education opportunities are offered by Wichita State University at McConnell to military retirees, veterans, service members, DoD civilian employees, qualifying family members and non-DoD individuals, including civilians who are currently enrolled as WSU students. If you are a student at Wichita State University and want to attend classes on McConnell AFB but do not yet have a valid ID card to enter the base, the Military Education Specialist may provide you information and paperwork.

Getting enrolled

Once you receive your military credit award notification, contact your department to determine how specific courses fit into your degree program.

  • Set up an academic advising appointment with the appropriate department below to choose your classes.
  • Enroll in classes.
  • If you will be using VA education benefits, complete an Enrollment Certification Request form each semester with your academic advisor. Submit the completed form to the VA Education Benefits Office.
