The Benefits of Applying Early for College

The early bird gets the worm! At least, that’s what I always say. Applying for college can be a stressful, but I’m here to encourage you to get the process started early. There are several reasons why applying early to Wichita State University can benefit you:

1. Scholarships!

The number one reason you should submit your application early is scholarships! You will be automatically considered for Freshmen Merit and Academic Scholarships if you’re admitted by Nov. 1. There’s no separate application, just be admitted and we’ll see if you’re eligible!

Also, after you’re admitted, you can begin applying for more Wichita State scholarships! This includes scholarship competitions like the Distinguished Scholarship Invitational, and other scholarships based on your major, GPA, and ACT score.

2. Get Connected to Wichita State

We want you to have all the resources you need to be successful at Wichita State. After you’re admitted you’ll not only be connect to your Admissions Representative, but also to other departments and people on campus who can make your transition from high school college as seamless as possible.

3. Gather Information

Applying early doesn’t commit you to Wichita State, but it does let us send you important information to help you make your college decision. It also allows you to better compare admissions and financial aid award offers from other colleges and helps you plan for post-graduation!
