Vichra Vorn’s passion for business led her to Wichita State University. Hailing from Cambodia, Vichra is a business management major in the Barton School of Business. She loves to study and learn new things, including honing her business acumen.

“I believe that progress is what business is all about,” she said.

While her academics keep her busy, Vichra also stays involved on campus as a member of the Student Ambassador Society and as a Barton Business School Ambassador. She loves the organizations she is involved in.

Another aspect of Wichita State that has impacted Vichra immensely are her professors, who have given her grace during uncontrollable circumstances.

“Dr. Brien Bolin and Professor Pattie Bradley have been incredibly sympathetic,” Vichra said. “Due to my illness, I had to miss classes, but they both gave me time to make up the work.”

Vichra believes her professors and classmates have been vital to her college experience thus far and have been selfless to her in countless ways.

One of the best resources that Wichita State offers Vichra are the guest speakers who come to campus. She also enjoys the networking opportunities that come with campus career fairs and internship possibilities.

The biggest challenge Vichra has faced is learning how to manage her personal and professional lives.

“I use an agenda to write down everything going on and highlight the priority tasks,” Vichra said.

If Vichra could thank one person who helped her get to where she is now, she would thank her friends because they are her support system.

“We regularly meet to study throughout the week and always lend a hand to one another,” Vichra said.

Vichra’s involvement on campus and dedication to her academics make her an outstanding person and student!
