Wichita State is now one of nearly 200 colleges and universities with a DECA chapter. This is an opportunity for Shockers to join a global organization with a mission of preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
The president of Wichita State's DECA chapter has a message regarding one of Wichita State's newest student organizations:
"Hi Wichita State students and future Shockers,
My name is Nathan Holloway and I currently serve as the President of Collegiate DECA of Wichita State University. We officially became a Registered Student Organization (RSO) here at Wichita State in the fall of 2022. We have started strong this spring with fundraisers and competitions. Since DECA is a business club on campus, we compete at state and national competitions against other DECA students from across the nation.
DECA has a lot to offer for Wichita State students. DECA helps build your professional skills through critical thinking, public speaking, creativity, etc. DECA also builds connections with employers who are hiring or looking for interns, making it a great opportunity to begin your career as well.
