Why did you choose Wichita State University?

From the moment I stepped out of the car in front of the Marcus Welcome Center WSU was the place I felt most at home when visiting colleges.

Which organizations were you involved in?

The Student Ambassador Society, Wichita State Army ROTC.

How did being involved with the Student Ambassador Society impact you?

Being involved with SAS not only gave me the opportunity to share my experience with prospective students and help them in their college search journey, but I also gained impactful relationships and several great friends and mentors.

Which Wichita State faculty or staff member impacted you the most during your time here?

Dean Engber of the Cohen Honors College has had the greatest impact on me during my time here at WSU. For the past five years, she has been a supportive figure that I could always go to for wise advice and thoughtful support.

How do you feel about graduating?

I will miss WSU, however I am ready for school to be done.

Which experience at Wichita State challenged you the most and what did you take away from that challenge?

The experience that challenged me most here at WSU was managing my commitment to both the Army and Aerospace Engineering. It was difficult to balance both of these heavy commitments throughout the years, but I fought hard to succeed and I have persevered.

What are your post-grad plans?

In the spring of next year, I will be heading to Alabama to complete my Army Officer training. Upon graduation from this school, I will be a pilot in the Kansas Army National Guard.

What advice would you give to incoming students?

The best advice I can give to incoming students is to learn about yourself, learn who you truly are and what you want to pursue and strive for it, but don't be afraid to try new things. By trying new things, you may learn more about yourself and thus discover new goals to strive for.
