Need a fun and outdoor activity that is affordable and scenic? Look no further than Boats and Bikes. This company allows Wichitans and visitors to rent (as the name suggests) different types of boats and bikes to cruise down the Downtown River Corridor. This fun trip takes you to our famous Keeper of the Plains sculpture on the river, which was created by local Native American artist Blackbear Bosin.
Fun fact: Wichita State students receive a discount when showing their Shocker IDs upon renting.

Baseball enthusiasts unite! Wichita is home to the Minor League Baseball team the Wichita Wind Surge. This team is a Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins and plays in Riverfront Stadium. If you are looking for a new sports team to cheer for, this would be the one! The 2024 season might be over, but I can guarantee the 2025 season will be even better! This local team is super involved in the community and has arguably one of the coolest and cutest mascots (don’t tell WU I said that).
