Student Ambassador Society, HOPE Services, Psychology Club, Artist Exploration Association, Red Cross Club, Mortar Boad, Clinical Psychology and Neurobiology research assistant.

Why did you choose Wichita State University?
I was attracted to Wichita State because of its strong emphasis on applied learning opportunities and many scholarship opportunities. Plus, the proximity to home was a bonus!

How did being involved with the Student Ambassador Society impact your time at WSU?
SAS was the first student organization that I joined. It allowed me the opportunity to stay connected to the campus community while also giving me the chance to contribute in a meaningful way.

Which Wichita State faculty or staff member impacted you the most during your time here?
Cora Olsen has been a mentor figure to me since my sophomore year. I have worked with her since my sophomore year as a prevention ambassador and, as of more recently, student staff in the HOPE department! She’s a wonderful person and I am forever grateful for all her support and mentoring throughout the years.

How do you feel about graduating?
I’m feeling very excited for what's to come next!

Which experience at Wichita State challenged you the most and what did you take away from that challenge?
Finding the study strategies that worked for me was a huge learning curve. But I learned a lot about myself and my learning styles. Maintaining consistent communication with my professors helped a lot as well.

What are your post-grad plans?
I hope to attend medical school and become a neurologist.

What advice would you give to incoming students?
Have fun and stay open to new opportunities :)
